A few days ago I mentioned portable shrine so I was looking for
one for close-up picture. In this season, it is not very difficult
to find a displayed portable shrine anyway : )
Not all of portable shrines (which we call omikoshi) are
as gorgeous as this one, but more or less they look all similar.
Festivals in fall are usually based on "thanksgiving spirit".
We thank our God (Shintoism) for harvesting.
That's why there are some fruits, rice cakes and sake in front of it.
